The film encapsulates Ted Kotcheff’s journey from the Canadian Broadcast Company, in the 1950s, to his Hollywood directorial debut with Tiara Tahiti (1962), as well as many of his other works – Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe (1978), North Dallas Forty (1979), First Blood(1982), Weekend at Bernie’s (1989) – to name a few.
